Recently featured on Offbeat Bride, Raina, Offbeat bride, along side her husband, Mike, spent less than $600 on a small wedding in a unique and personal setting. They choose to have the wedding in an old church turned library in the town Raina grew up in. I love seeing row after row of written wonders and the awesome aisle that naturally forms between the packed shelves. The following two photos are of Raina and Mike's wedding, courtesy of mike.turz Flickr.

With the world switching to High-definition video, I find it ironic, yet pleasing, that Super 8mm [one of many film precursors to video] wedding videography has enjoyed a revival within the industry. I love how Super 8 creates a old, grainy home movie style and a Hollywood of 'yesteryear' look. If you are looking for a wedding film with yesterdays vintage feel while capturing you own personal style, Super 8 film is the way to go. I am featuring two films I found [on YouTube] that will serve as examples of wedding films using Super 8. The first is a silent movie of a wedding in 1957, while the second is a more modern example of a Super 8mm wedding film. Enjoy.
If you're trying to avoid the high cost of a limo or the grooms rusty old truck, you may also consider other forms of unique wedding 'getaway' transportation. A bicycle built for two, two bicycles built for one, moon shoes, skate board/long board, segway [nerd], horse, magic carpet, skis/snow board/sled [preferably in the snow], unicycle, camel, roller skates/blades, carriage made from a pumpkin by your fairy godmother, etc. There are so many options, just think outside the limo.
